Gazelle is a new concept of platforms to accelerate

the transition to offshore floating wind

Combines the best features of the

TLP and Semi-Submersibles:

Constant Null Pitch

Reduced draft

Reduced diameter

Small wire tensions

Suitable for large depths

Eliminating its drawbacks:

Allowing vertical movements

of waves and tides

Not need for active

stability control systems

Allowing lightweight

economical platforms

The Gazelle Platform combines sustainability with a positive Economic impact on your project

Lowering manufacturing and installation costs

  • A +50% cost decrease in materials and labour vs. TLP and other Semi submersible platforms.

  • With the steel necessary to build a standard floating platform, 3 Gazelles can be manufactured with reduced labour costs.

  • A 60% decrease in installation costs in comparison to TLP.

  • Ultimately a reduced period for your ROI.

Increasing

efficiency

  • Ultimate stability, High seas barely influence the efficiency and power generation.

  • Less wear and tear on the WTG allowing capacity factors up to 70%.

  • Added flexibility in choosing marine areas where other platforms cannot operate.

  • Gazelle platforms can be deployed closer to each other occupying less sea surface.

Looking at sustainability

by reducing CO2 emissions

  • To obtain a ton of steel, 1.6 tons of CO2 are emitted into the atmosphere.

  • Less than half of steel means less than half CO2 is emitted.

  • Less-invasive activity on the seabed during installation in comparison to offshore bottom-fixed solutions.

  • Gazelle allows access to deep-water sites, far from the coastline, reducing potential environmental, social, and cultural issues.

CARBON EMISSIONS SAVINGS

FROM ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION

By enabling the reduction in cost from offshore wind energy Gazelle contributes to accelerating the decarbonisation of electricity production.

A one gigawatt offshore wind farm would save

in the order of 1.5 Million tons of CO2 per year.

Gazelle is committed to implementing Environmental, social and corporate governance

We believe in protecting

biodiversity and ecosystems

  • Gazelle preserves the seabed, avoiding damage unlike other solutions, such as fixed structures type Jacket.

  • A percentage of Gazelle`s profits will be used to promote environmental projects in the territories/waters where the platforms are located or donated to Marine environmental causes around the world.

Renewable source for the production of clean energy

  • Gazelle is a sustainable solution offering a more efficient and cleaner way of producing energy.

  • Gazelle allows installing wind turbines in deep waters (where the wind is stronger and more constant), optimizing and making better use of our resources.

  • Gazelle also provides value by generating local employment for the construction and maintenance of floating platforms and R+D+i.

We contribute to the reduction of greenhouses gases

  • Gazelle produces emission-free electricity using materials that are a fraction of the competition, reducing CO2 emissions: Up to 60% less steel than steel floats and up to 90% less concrete than concrete floats

We reuse and ensure a reasonable use of raw materials and products

  • Gazelle models are optimized to reduce maintenance waste.

  • The concrete components (dead of the anchorage and counterweight) can be finished with ECOncrete, which allows the creation of marine life on its surface and, in addition, can be reused several times.

  • The steel used should be scrapped and recycled at the end of its life.
